Ayton (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday against the Spurs.

Analysis: Ayton injured his ankle in the first quarter Sunday and played just under 8 minutes. JaVale McGee stepped up after Ayton left, finishing with 20 points and six rebounds in 15 minutes. Playing the second half of a back-to-back Monday, it's not entirely surprising the Suns gave Ayton the night off to rest with their next game not until Thursday.

Analysis: Cody Martin will start in the place of Ball, who hasn't missed a game in just over a month, when he was sidelined for four contests while in the league's health and safety protocols. Martin started those games, and is averaging 14.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in five starts this season.
